About Ryan Libre

Raised & educated in Northern California, Ryan has called Asia home for 9 years.

Ryan went AWOL from the US Army and got a degree in Peace Studies then took to nature photography in Hokkaido, Japan. He now draws on his diverse experiences to do long term documentary photography projects.

Ryan has taken photos for 11 books and held solo exhibitions at the Fuji Film Salon, The Foreign Correspondents' Club of Thailand, and the Nikon Salons

When not working on projects or teaching photography he enjoys working on his adobe house in northern Thailand and brewing ginger wine.
